Austen & Gage

Seldom heard but clearly definedTenh. AustenBall. BallCa(t). CatCa(r). CarUh uh oh oh. Uh oh, usually after something fell or brokeBa ba. BottleMmm. Indicating tasty, either when drinking milk or feeding you somethingMa ma ma ma. Needs something/helpBoo. Playing peekaboo behind curtain or when hiding behind doors,chairs,pillows.Bubbah. Wants to blow bubbles.

Mommy showed Austen a drawing of Jane Austen and she responded, “That was me when I was Jane.”

“Jelly man!”

 

 It’s heard all day long.  I think the reference is from Finding Nemo:  the turtle surfers scene.  Davinder is a frequent user and it’s catching on with Austen and Lucinda.

 

He is a very squirmy guy. 

Playing soccer with Mom and Austen (who was sharing very well), Gage not only threw the ball but kicked it.  His favorite words are still “Ball” and “Car.”  Hopefully he’ll be a more original boy as he gets older.

 

 

Austen told Mommy, who was trying to nap, that she loved her and that she would protect her from Gage when he tried to crawl over her.
