On Sunday, an almost 8yo boy kitty named Armstrong came to live with us. His family is relocating to Japan and could not take him with them. They are sad to let him go but feel better that we have taken him and will remain in touch with updates. Army, or The Armster, spent most of Sunday in the basement but ventured out on Monday. By Monday evening, he found the 2nd floor and explored a little. Squirt is still adjusting by hissing and growling at Army. Army is not as interested in hissing back but he has conveyed similar sounds in return. Army is about double Squirt’s size so he is not intimidated and more easy going. Late Monday night/early Tuesday morning, Gage came into our bed…because Army was cuddling in his bed. Shortly after, Austen came into out bed…because Army was cuddling in her bed! Despite the advanced discussions and near arguments between Austen & Gage over who Army will sleep with, both were chased out of their bed by a cuddly fuzz. LOL! I’m guessing they will both adjust soon and reciprocate the cuddles. We need to let Squirt have full reign to sleep in our bed as ‘her space.’ And so, this is the start of the newest addition to our family. PS – a terms of agreement was signed by all, clearly defining everyone’s duties. Enforcement remains a challenge…
