Reading to 1st Graders

Dada read ‘Ella The Elegant Elephant’ to Austen’s class today. Here are some questions Dada received before reading started:

Q: Can you count to 100 … in Japanese?
A: Yes, but how about if I just go to 10 for now? After counting, the kid was amazed. Q: Say something else in Japanese, shouted another kid.
A: Ohayo gozaimasu! (good morning) Received with giggling. Q: Do you remember when we were in the music class?
A: Uhh…yes!

And then the reading and real Q&A started. That was a great but short 15-minute visit into the world of 1st grade class.
