Seven-Month Update: “That’s Gagey!”

Seven-Month Update: “Gagey”

Gage recognizes his parents and caregivers and shows a preference for
them, but still smiles at strangers when he’s feeling comfortable. If
he feels alone with someone he doesn’t recognize he might start to cry
until he finds Mommy again.

He’s inching along the floor and diving for things; he doesn’t really
stay in one place for long. Often pulls himself up to standing by
holding onto people or furniture. He’s always grabbing Daddy’s nose
or hair and pulling.

When Austen plays with him, calling him “Gagey,” he laughs and
laughs … until she scares him. He’s developed defense movements
when she gets too close or rough.

Loves to eat real food and try new things. Celery and avocado and
pureed blueberries and crusty bread. He likes everything, except
peas. Although he loves his teething biscuits, he seems as happy with
a big slice of cucumber too. Not a big sweet tooth, although apples
and peaches are favorites.
