Austen is beginning to show a preference for feeding herself over being spoon fed … or maybe she prefers the chunkiness of table food to the mushiness of baby food. She loves cheerios, bread, and cantaloupe. She has sampled turkey, banana, chicken, rice, and ice chips.
Her current favorite baby food is surprising: Organic Lentils and Rice.Author: admin
Mensa Application on Hold
Austen played with her shape sorter today. She tried to put the circle in every hole (triangle, square, star) … except the circle hole.
“I got my curly hair from my dad’s side of the family…
No! Wait! I also got it from my mom’s side of the family.”

Playdate at ‘What’s The Scoop’ in Metuchen
At a Middlesex Moms’ playdate, Austen crawled around, trying to catch the older kids, while the other babies her age hung out in their strollers like good little children. 🙂
Mommy had a fun time eating green tea ice cream and talking with the other moms until the dreaded fussies set in and Austen had to be taken home for a nap.About Grandma Judi: Grandma Judi performing a piece especially composed for her
Visit with Riley and Kelly in Westfield
Austen went to see her good friend Riley in Westfield (near Fanwood). Although Mommy got lost on the way there, upon arrival everyone had a great time eating burritos, then strolling (and swinging and crawling) in the park. As always, there was a stop at the toy store. Mommy is a toy-buying-aholic, and Austen is very happy about this. So far, Daddy has bought Austen zero toys and Mommy has bought Austen circa 100 toys. [Daddy would like to mention that he pays the bills for said toys.]
